Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, I relocated to South Europe in 2016 to explore the growing tech scene from a data science perspective. After working as a data scientist in both the public and corporate sector, I launched CodeOp, a venture-backed social venture focused on addressing the gender disparity in tech through technical training and game-changing partnerships with local and regional governments as well as NGOs and corporates.
CodeOp has supported women, trans and non-binary people from over 70 different countries worldwide, and has received awards from TEDx Barcelona, Women in Tech Spain, and the Spanish Startup Association for best project in dissemination of information, gender equality and economic justice. In 2023, I was placed on Europe’s top 100 list for most influential women in the startup and venture capital space by the EU-Startups and the top 6 on EAE’s Business School’s top 10 list of women entrepreneurs in Catalunya.
